Mono and/or Colored? Haarlem Station
One of the first questions I had buying my first digital DSLR was ‘how do I shoot monochrome photos from now?’. In the past it was just choosing what film I put in a camera. Going digital implied using editing to revert from color to monochrome. More recently black and white modes came back on devices. Not only on iPhone. My choice for Nikon Zf was influenced by it. But it all is a question of taste.

I prefer the light/dark balance in the color version, being able to see more into the shadows of the doorways. I also like the warm/cool feel and what appears to be (or at least reminds me of) more of an art deco design…

Thank you! The light on the colored one is indeed brighter. In the mono I pushed for more darks.

with the Nikon Zf can you shoot in bw and also make in-camera adjustments in bw?

There are three mono modes on the Zf that provide a mono shot. Dark, neutral and light. And in camera editing is possible on Nikon but I do not use it.

do you have option of shooting in those 3 bw modes in raw/jpeg simultaneously?

I am not sure, but you can set up saving raw and jpeg in general I think. I just shoot raw. DPreview.com could tell you that i think
