My 3rd great grandmother was married here in May 1812 – to a Derbyshire farmer. Her origins are a mystery, though she was referred to as ‘the London Lady’ in Hathersage where she went to live with my 3rd gt grandfather. Fascinating to think of them standing beneath this window.
