On Wings

Yemen, Ibb – March 1998

The theme for the weekly Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #71 is ‘creepy’.

Birds on the wing over Ibb, a town in Yemen. I was fortunate to visit this beautiful country in 1998.
Watching and seeing the vast destruction in the ongoing war and the human suffering, is almost unbearable.

About the B4 retouch series:
I browsed my archive for pictures to publish. Some of them are partly retouched but most do have scratches, dust and stains.Shot with Nikon F90 on Kodak TriX, scanned from film and edited using Snapseed and Marksta.

This left over of this car was on the side of the road, used as a shelter. It is creepy to think the driver is gonna take you somewhere.
