This year the wisteria was flowering like never before, and the smell and view was so enjoyable. Now it is over its peak, lucklily we still have the photos and memories.

At this time of Spring the bulbfields deliver their richness and beauty in rows of flowers, stretching over the land like post stamps. Living in this area of The Netherlands for a long time, this is quite a ‘normal’ event. I try to remember the first time I saw it as a child, being amazed by the perfume and splendour of the fields, just to keep me appreciating it as it should. A month ago we had a partial public space power cut, the streetlights of a part of the neigbourhood were off for an hour and the moon showed its grace beautifully. Power inside the houses was still there. Power cuts are fortunately rare, and this one was quite a nice experience! This is a bicycle coming by.
