Two weeks ago I published a color version of this view. This is a silver monochrome, with a different feel towards it. It suggests a different age and time. Mono, with a hint of sepia, brings this image back years to the previous century. Or am I old and going soft in melancholy? The 137th Weekly Lens Artists Challenge is about ‘soft’.
This week’s theme of the weekly lens artists challenge (#135) is ‘glimpse into your world’. Long ago I was born in a small village in The Netherlands. Of course it has grown and changed over the years, but it is still a wonderful location to live. And yes: we do have an old ‘castle’.
Sometimes things go wrong, but the result can be surprising. This is a movement of my iPhone by accident, as i pressed the shutter while moving the phone.

Oud Poelgeest is an old castle in Oegstgeest. It has quite a history over the centuries.
