Yak butter is used for all kinds of purposes.
For putting in tea and for burning lights at temples.
This is a street shop in Lhasa, Tibet.

B4 Retouch / Kathmandu Pashupatinath Temple (Mourning)

Two pictures from Nepal Kathmandu with parts of the Pashupatinath temple.
The men are shaving themselves and thread their clothes. They are in mourning from now.
The eldest son will in a few minutes light the funeral pyre of his father on the far side of the temple.
Seen behind the bridges where the smoke comes from.
