Evanescant: Exit

This weekly theme is ‘ evanescant’.

Most of my photos are snapped after a glimpse of something that catches my attention, creating a framed shot in my mind instantly. That ‘ image’ is then captured on phone or camera. In a way those ‘ glimpses’ have meaning to me.

Evanescant: Front

This weekly theme is ‘ evanescant’.

Heritage: Old Mill 2

The weekly theme is ‘heritage’.

This old building used to be a flower mill. The factory closed in the eighties of the last century. Finally it has its new purpose: hotel, offices and expensive appartments.

Heritage: War Memorial

Shere is a beautiful little village. Its church has been the backdrop of a few films.

Heritage: Shiva Temple

The weekly theme is ‘heritage’.

The Shiva Temple in Pashupatinath at Kathmandu in Nepal. The complex is one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites.

The Rosetta Stone found in Egypt near Rosetta by Napoleon Bonaparte. The key to decypher Egypt hieroglyphs. Now in the British Museum.

Repurpose: Revamp

This weekly  theme is repurpose.

Walking under the building that used to house one government departement but will hold three departments in a few months.
The building is being revamped for that purpose to hold 6200 flexible workspaces.

Repurpose: Railway Station Delft

Delft has a brand new railway station and a tunnel to keep the trains under ground in the town centre.
Outside on the right is the old station, a beautiful building still there but having a different purpose.
