The B4 retouch series I browsed my archive for pictures to publish. All of them are not completely retouched yet. Scratches, dust and stains are not removed.
The picture was originally shot with Pentax K1000 on Kodak TriX, scanned from negative and tweaked using Snapseed and Marksta. Click the picture for a larger version.
Oooh. I’ve been to Margraten a couple of times. More impressive looking than Henri-Chapelle where my uncle John is buried, but 8,000+ white grave markers at either place is rather sobering.
I was there, Oct. 2011. Saw the beaches, the cemetery, the church where the paratrooper hung from the steeple. Beautiful flat beach, no long red, thank goodness.

Hi, Chris. It’s true. Both sadness and joy. The price for peace was very high. Take care. I hope all’s well with you.

Hi John, the most impressive one I visited is Colleville sur Mer in Normandy. https://chrisbreebaart.com/category/france/normandy/colleville-sur-mer-normandy/

I have been there also, if that’s the one with the large map sculptures of the battle routes. So many lost lives in all of them.
