Somewhere in Yemen. I was fortunate to visit this beautiful country in 1998.
Watching and seeing the vast destruction in the ongoing war and the human suffering, is almost unbearable.

Young men with guns – unsettling.

Actually then in 1998 it was safe: every tourist was guest of ultimately a tribal leader. Who was responsibke and accountable as honour for their well being. Hostages were guests, and just a pressure towards the government. That changed after the army tried to free hostages and tourists got killed.
