WPC: Victory? (Paris 13/11/2015)

This weekly theme is ‘victory’. Like other times it was not difficult to pick a photo. Yesterday evening the news of what happened in Paris was outrageous, sick. The theme got a question mark: who wins, who loses? What is won, what is lost? Is there a way to create a victory where all are winners?

About the B4 retouch series:
I browsed my archive for pictures to publish in – an originally – small series. That series caught on a bit more than I thought. All of them are not retouched yet. Scratches, dust and stains are not removed.

France, Paris – February 1989

Originally shot with Nikon F301 on Kodak TriX, scanned from negative and tweaked using Snapseed and Marksta. Click the picture for a larger version.

  1. I keep seeing that you use Snapseed (and Marksta) and sometimes, as in this case, on something you scanned from a negative. Are these programs available for a desktop? Or do you scan to your phone? Or???

    1. I scan from negative using the Epson v700. There is a newer model now. Then I store them on my NAS and bring them over to pic (Lightroom) or my iPad. On the iPad I use snapseed to edit and Marksa to add exit information and copyrights labels. I am not sure if there is a doc version of snapseed
