WPC: Change (Who pays the Ferryman)

This week’s theme is ‘change‘.  In 1977 the BBC produced a television series ‘Who pays the ferryman?’ that was set on Crete. Part of it was filmed in Elounda then a small town in the east of Crete. The success of ‘Who pays the ferryman’  brought in a stream of tourism that dramatically changed the town. Recently I finally made my way  to Elounda finding a modern town with a few mementos to the series. One of them is this taverna sign.
