Exactly one year ago flight MH17 of Malaysian Air was shot down over the Ukrain. That day an impressive collaboration started in which as much of the remains of the victims were brought back for identification. Combined with a political collaboration to start the process of bringing the responsible for this tragedy to justice. On board this flight were 298 passengers and crew. More than half of them Dutch. Everyone in The Netherlands knows one of them personally or knows someone who knows one of them. The process of bringing the responsible to justice is continuing slowly. The effort is aimed to create a special tribunal under the wings of the United Nations. This process is like walking on egg shells? An international investigation is also still proceeding. The report is expected in October. Let’s hope the people who lost their loved ones in this act of terror will then understand what happened one year ago.
