WPC: Symbol (Trafalgar, Time waits for Nobody)

The challenge this week is ‘Symbol’. Trafalgar Square London, with one of the icons of The British Empire: Lord Nelson. Looking down The Strand to the Palace of Westminster, thinking about good old times when there were waves to rule? Time passes, people have a party at his feet, while the lions are still of stone. Times change, symbols stay.

  1. I scrolled down and thought how wonderful your last line is: before you encounter the “madding crowd” below, that could have been taken (by a photographer with a good eye, of course) at any time the symbol has stood.

    1. well, they were not utterly mad :-). And yes, the people on the ground celebrated or expresssed other emotions in that square probably. This time it was a food tasting gathering 🙂
