Weekly Photo Challenge: Orange (King Day)
This weekly photo challenge is about ‘orange’. Since we have a King we celebrate King Day. It is just three days earlier than our former Queen Day. Actually it is the birthday of our present King, April 27th. The name of the House of the King is Orange. One guess what colour goes with that? Here are some photos of last year’s King Day. Some have been on here earlier I think.
Shot with Nikon D7000, edited using Snapseed and Marksta. Click the picture for a larger version. The flag photo was shot with iPhone 5s using Huemore, edited using Snapseed and Marksta.

Orange has strong connection with Holland (as I call it) and Ireland. Great colorful and fun entry, Chris.
Have a pleasant weekend.

Well, one of the members of the house of Orange went over the Channel and fought some Orange Wars with the Irish! At the Boyne!

Okay … didn’t know that … did you know that the orange shade in the Irish flag is gold and not orange.???

Well I only know that the English put William on the throne and he fought the Catholics.

I know very little about the Irish history … and the English, but I read somewhere that orange is important color for both the Dutch and Irish.
