Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue (Alkmaar vs Edinburgh)

This weekly photo challenge is about ‘dialogue’. Put two photos next to another in such a way that an exchange between the pictures creates more meaning then an individual presentation. Well, here the fun starts. Communication between photos,  just as the real world, is subjective. So I  welcome you all to discover what the talk might be about between these two pictures! One is taken in Edinburgh, the other in Alkmaar. The latter one is a bit tilted but that is a link between the two photos as a starter.

Shot with Nikon D7000, edited using Snapseed and Marksta. Click the picture for a larger version.

Is that on the Miracle Mile, by any chance ? – Gabaldon writes of its steepness. But, come to think of it, most of Edinburgh’s up/down, eh, Chris ?
    Lovely pairing of shots …
