B4 Retouch: John’s Tomb

The presumed tomb of John the Apostle near Ephesus in Turkey in 1983.

The B4 retouch series:
I browsed my archive for pictures to publish in – an originally – small series.
That series caught on a bit more than I thought.
All of them are not retouched yet.
Scratches, dust and stains are not removed.

The  picture was originally shot with Pentax K1000 on Kodak Plusx, scanned from negative
and tweaked using
Snapseed and Marksta.

You see the white pilars? They are part of the remains of the church that was there. It is a real tourist picture: been there, seen that actually from a mile or so 😉 In 1999 I visited the tomb, that was quite an experience.
